Our parents Shane and Olli Gray started diving in the 1960′s and established Dalkey Scubadivers in 1976! Needless to say they shared their enthusiasm for the sea with us from an early age!

The night dive on Saturday evening was perfect, with a very high tide and the shore teeming with pollock, wrasse goby, rockling, some curious little cuttle, lounging lobsters and a dynamic dogfish that had herding skills worthy of a sheepdog!

The 60 footer is an old timber trawler lying in 13 metres depth, and accessible from the shore here.
It is ideal for anyone from the newly qualified Open Water exploring their first wreck, to the most experienced teccie perfecting their positioning and trim.

The weekend past saw divers from all over the country flock to our shores for boat and shore diving. Indeed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday seasoned divers got their fins wet for the first time this year, and many students had their first experience of diving in the ocean! Well done also to the newly qualified Scuba Divers and Open Water Divers! We hope to see you all again soon. The Sun made a guest appearance a few times today and with its welcome heat came the promise that Spring is just around the corner!

Happy New Year to everyone! After a one month break over the Christmas holidays we are rested and ready for 2012. We have re-opened with our usual schedule, open 6 days a week, closed on Wednesdays, with boat and shore diving at 10am and 2pm by prior booking.
