Saturday past saw an adventurous crew take to the water for the Maritime Archaeology Day Drip. The squally showers soon gave way to welcome sunshine and rainbows.
Our guide for the day, Michael Gibbons is one of Ireland’s leading field Archaeologists. As always he was happy to impart his wealth of knowledge in his humourous style!
Cross marked Headstones, evidence of the graveyard at the East end of the Church. The small notch an each side of the headstone is just visible.
