A great Autumn
Our best Summer weather for Eons has been followed by an equally fantastic Autumn.
Visiting divers from all over Ireland have been lapping up the spectacular Atlantic Ocean conditions and blue skies in Connemara! As we are enjoying water temperatures of 13 to 14 degrees it is no wonder that the diving season has been well extended this year. There have been no storms and no swells so the marine life is still abundant, with fish shoaling in the shalllows in great numbers, we have 10 metres visibility at the shore … and 15 metre viz out on the boat dives! So this October Bank Holiday weekend promises to be a memorable diving experience for all that come West.

Easy on the wallet – able to play tough!
You don’t need to be an expert underwater photographer, or have an arsenal of cameras, strobes and housings to take part. This week a visiting diver took his Olympus tough compact camera ..( no housing, no strobes).. out on the shore dive here and snapped away happily for the day, getting some great photos, especially in the shallows. Compact cameras rated to 15 metres depth are on the increase now and are definitely a low cost option for the budding photographer!
